Many of you may have heard or received e-mails regarding the recent Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing by LandAmerica Financial Group and LandAmerica 1031 Exchange Services. Although this unfortunate situation has absolutely no effect on the viability of their underwriting companies, this turn of events has placed the entire LandAmerica brand in a questionable light. Founders Title Company is one of many local title agencies utilizing LandAmerica affiliated underwriters, (Commonwealth and Lawyers Title Insurance Companies). Accusations that Founders Title Company is in bankruptcy are totally false and do not represent in any way our ability to service your title and escrow needs.
